Q. What do you remember about your wedding? Were there any moments that really stick in your mind?
A. Our wedding day went by so fast-I am SO lucky to have had such great photographers to take such wonderful pictures of our memories (some of which are hard to remember!) The thing that sticks out most in my mind is just being blown away by all of the family and friends that were there to help us share our “big day”-we had the best time!
Q. What was the inspiration for your wedding choices such as venue, colors, etc?
A. I knew I wanted a Spring wedding, so that took care of the season :)
We are all huge Gamecock fans, so being able to see the stadium (and all of Columbia) was an awesome way to celebrate. Being up on the 22nd floor of the Summit Club was a beautiful place! My favorite color is green, so I knew I wanted my bridesmaids in it. I may also be the only bride to choose her dress around the veil! :)
Q. Describe your relationship with Ben in 5 words or less.
A. hmm…5 words or less would have to be…Perfect match and best friend! (lame, I know)
Q. Would you change anything about your wedding now that it has past (advice for future brides)?
A. I can say the only thing I would have done differently would probably have been to have had a shorter engagement (a year is a bit long!)
Q. What made your wedding unique?
A. I think every bride may think their wedding was more unique than anyone else’s, ours stands out because of all of the love we had. We had lot’s of family and friends to travel from far distances (even across the ocean!) to celebrate and support us.
Q. What is your absolute favorite wedding photo?
A. Favorite photo-it’s almost impossible to choose, we had SO many wonderful ones!! I would say between the one of Ben and I in front of the church on the top of the steps (full view of church) with me leaning against the bar, OR the black and white photo of us right after the ceremony in the church yard, cheeks touching.
The stationary came from Nan’s Notes (beautiful job!)
Flowers were done by Devin’s Flowers in Orangeburg
Wedding Ceremony took place at Shandon Presbyterian Church and Reception was held at The Summit Club of Columbia
My wedding dress came from Evelyn’s in Camden (Casablanca strapless dress with lace, cathedral veil)
My bridesmaids wore a green Alfred Sung tea length dress with ruffles around the neck
Hair was done at Sheer Xpectations
I wore my mom’s wedding ring as I walked down the isle, and pearl drop earrings
The groomsmen wore a basic black tux from Men’s Warehouse
The Summit Club did the delicious catering!
The beer, wine and liquor was provided by Morganelli’s on Forest Drive
Our cake was made by a family friend, Barns Lovelace of Columbia
the reception music was performed by the band Caesar and the Sugarbees (SO MUCH FUN)
